Coding Club |
The purpose of coding club is to encourage students learning in computer science with coding. Many students love video games, but how many really understand what it takes to make one? In Coding club we use Computer Science with Algebra; we’ll pull back the veil on Computer Science and reveal to students the underlying fundamentals of math that makes everything tick in programming. We will start off with block based language where students learn to create images, animations, and interactive video games that are driven by algebraic functions. Through the process of developing their video games, students will discover how computer programmers use the coordinate plane, algebraic functions, and logic to create the games that they love. Then move to java and other coding languages. Students will be engaged, creative, and having fun while learning! |
